Josh Desilets started Deckscapes as a family business in 2006, building high-quality decks and porches by hand. He grew a team and began expanding into more complex projects, ranging from complete outdoor environments to high-end deck and outdoor structures. Today, Deckscapes is a single source for designing and building your outdoor living space from scratch. Our staff includes landscape architects and experienced craftsmen in carpentry and design. We take pride in quality, and we’ve been told that’s what makes us different than a lot of companies out there.

Your great outdoors should be all about you—how you want to spend time in your back yard. It’s your personal getaway, and we make it all yours by listening to your vision. Then, we professionally design a deck, porch, patio, and other outdoor elements that bring your vision to reality. You’ll get to know our crews and project management team on a personal level, and we’ll be in constant communication with you during the project to let you know everything is going as planned and what the next steps are. Environmentally Responsible.
In building a deck and outdoor living space, there can be an awful lot of waste generated during construction. We take care to recycle construction and demolition debris. And, we build wood decks that are resistant to rot, decay, termite and water damage—so our decks are sustainable. And, the Trex composite deck product we use is made from 95% recycled and reclaimed plastic and wood.

We’re in Northern Virginia. Our office is in Catharpin, VA, but we proudly design and build custom outdoor living spaces in the majority of Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun Counties.
